Marita Foreman
Marita Foreman and husband Donald have enjoyed 46 years of marriage and have two sons, Jimmy and P.J. plus several
grandchildren, who keep them busy!! They all enjoy the antics of Tommie Too, a main coon tabby. Favorite hobbies
include Bible studies, Drama club, bowling, bridge, line dancing, 42, Bingo, and Writers’ Club. Favorite vacation is to the
Holy Land and Europe. Marita had 43 years of teaching experience, including three in preschool. She always prayed that
something interesting would happen every day in the classroom. Betty White is the one person she most admires and
would like to emulate--in fact, a secret desire is that Marita would love to be a stand-up comedienne. She has directed
and/or participated in several dramatic presentations for her neighborhood dinner theatre. She enjoys watching The
Middle TV program and hopes to publish a memoir someday. She enjoys historical novels and book clubs but dislikes
inactivity. Favorite foods include ice cream or pie with ice cream and, not surprisingly, peach cobbler is a favorite recipe
to make. Now a member of DKG for 47 years, she credits an aunt, also in DKG, for putting her in touch with her future
husband as Marita substituted for her aunt in a college classroom and the young man assisted her in getting out of a
predicament. A date soon followed along with a marriage proposal--and the rest is history! Anyone interested in knowing
more of this and other interesting events in her life should just ask Marita. What a wild tale it is!

Laneisha Renee Davis is one of our newer members. She and husband Jerrell have two children: Jerrell II, age 26, and Jerin, age 19. She especially enjoys spending time with family and their dachshund mix Tweety, a female, along with pretty much everything. She dislikes being around insincere people. A life-changing moment occurred during major surgery in 1992 when doctors at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center removed a bone tumor. Her favorite foods read like a restaurant menu, including seafood, Mexican, Chinese, Mediterranean, and Cajun! She enjoys making enchiladas and a favorite vacation took place in Cabo San Lucas.
She enjoys going shopping and reading. Favorites in movies and books include Beaches, Color Purple, Forrest Gump, Princess and the Frog, The Lion King, Imitation of Life, Three Faces of Eve, Steel Magnolias and anything written by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Robin Cook or James Patterson. She most admires Maya Angelou. Judging from her book choices, she is hardly a timid one, as evidenced by her desire to go skydiving some day and a former occupation. Would you believe that she once worked as a Correctional Officer at an all male maximum security prison for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice?!!
